IA02: Find a Role Model

            I have not yet reached out to my potential role model. But, my plan is to speak to a Chatham University Counseling Psychology major. I met her through my campus job last year and believe that she will be a good role model because she has a great work ethic and she is in a field of interest. I will be reaching to her soon to allow plenty of time to meet and write my blog.

IA03: Create a Personal Business Plan

            For individual assignment three, I intend to use psychology as the baseline of my plan. I will outline my business plan for a private psychology practice. I will assure this assignment is finished on-time by working ahead. Rather than waiting until the last minute, I will start working on this assignment right after I turn in individual assignment two.

IA04: Practice Professional Networking

            I have already begun some networking to prepare for summer interning. I have spoken to a clinical psychologist with the intentions of interning with him this coming summer. I have not yet attended a professional event, but I have been keeping myself aware of the different opportunities and am scoping out events that will be of the most benefit and interest. My intention is to find an event by mid-October so I have plenty of time to reflect and write.

IA05: Reflect on a Guest Lecture            
           I have taken extensive notes on a few of the guest speakers so far. I have also collected business cards for my networking, as well as to contact them if I have any questions. I am considering my IA05 write-up to focus on Rebecca Harris. Her presentation style and content was interesting to me. Although I have an idea, I am also keeping myself very open to other guest speakers. I plan to wait a bit before I start writing this assignment, as I want to consider other guest speakers as well. But I want to have a decision by the end of November to allow time to write.
